Licensing is available for more than 30 allied health specialties. Each title has its own education and experience standards, which we confirm in your eligibility assessment.
Diagnostics
Radiography, Medical Laboratory Science, Cytotechnology, Cardiac and Cardiovascular Technology, Audiology.
Therapy and rehabilitation
Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Psychology.
Dental and nutrition
Dental Hygiene, Dental Assistance, Dental Laboratory Technology, Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition.
Emergency and clinical support
Paramedics and EMTs, Anaesthesia Technology, Optometry, Pharmacy Technology, Emergency and Public Health.
What the GCC authorities require
The standards below are the ones we assess you against first. Requirements differ between authorities and titles.
Qualifications
- Allied Health Professionals must hold relevant qualifications from recognised educational institutions. UAE qualifications must meet the applicable national accreditation standards, and all applicants must satisfy the Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR) of the relevant UAE healthcare licensing authority.
- Bachelor’s degree: minimum 3 years. Master’s: minimum 2 years (1 year accepted from listed countries).
- Diplomas: minimum 2 years, for certain technician roles.
Clinical experience
- Non-UAE nationals who graduated in the UAE: 6 months of clinical training in an approved facility. GCC nationals: 6 months of clinical training.
- A postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) can reduce the experience requirement by one year.
- Assistant professionals work under licensed supervision.
Licensing and documentation
- A valid licence or registration from your home country or last country of employment.
- Good-standing certificates and credential verification (DataFlow Primary Source Verification).
- English proficiency proof if your education or licence is from a non-English-speaking country: TOEFL 500+, IELTS 5.0+, OET grade C, Cambridge 169+.
