What GCC Healthcare Authorities Require
Licensing requirements vary by country and professional title. We review your qualifications, clinical experience and registration against the relevant authority’s criteria to identify your licensing pathway.
Education
- A recognised nursing or midwifery degree or diploma accepted for your intended professional title.
- Academic transcripts confirming your programme duration and clinical training.
- Additional qualifications for specialist or advanced practice roles, where required.
Clinical Experience & Training
- Relevant clinical experience meeting the requirements of your chosen country and professional title.
- Experience certificates confirming your role, employment dates and clinical practice.
- Compliance with applicable clinical training and gap-of-practice requirements.
Licensing & Registration
- A valid professional licence or registration from your home country or previous country of practice, where applicable.
- Primary source verification and a Certificate of Good Standing, as required.
- Completion of any required licensing assessment and relevant life-support certifications, unless an exemption applies.

- Registered Nurse. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Assistant Nurse. Diploma of at least 18 months.
- School Nurse. Registered Nurse with 2 years’ experience and PALS.
- Nurse Practitioner. Registered Nurse with a Master’s or Doctorate in Clinical Nursing and 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Registered Midwife. Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery, or BSc Nursing plus a one-year Midwifery certificate.
- Assistant Midwife. Diploma in Midwifery plus one year of experience.
